Each 1 gm contains : Oxytetracycline Hydrochloride 500 mg
Properties:
Oxytetracycline is bacteriostatic at therapeutic levels, and in higher concentrations it may be bacteriocidal.
It is broad spectrum antibiotic which is avtive against a variety of gram positive and gram negative organisms and also against mycoplasma, rickettsia,Chlamydia, anaplasma and some large viruses.
Indications:
Treatment and metaphylaxis at the group level of septicemia, respiratory and gastrointestinal infections caused by bacteria sensitive to oxytetracycline.
The presence of disease in the herd/group should be established before the product is used.
Dosage and administration:
Must be calculated the average of oxytetracycline concentration that required for daily water intake.
The dosage in chicken is 20 mg/kg/day for 3-5 days
Withdrawal period:
Meat and offal: 7 days.
Eggs: do not use in laying birds producing eggs intended for human consumption.
