Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic, has activity primarily against gram positive
bacteria, although some gram negative bacteria are affected and the drug reportedly has some activity against mycoplasma.
Preliminary studies have shown that 95% of studied isolates of Pasturella haemolytica are sensitive.
Indications:
Uvetilmicosin is indicated for treatment of respiratory infections disease associated with mycoplasma gallisepticum, M,synoviae in chicken and turkey and pasteurella multocidia, ornithobacterium rhinotracheale and other organism sensitive to Uvetilmicosin.
Dosage and administration:
Administer orally via drinking water for chicken and turkey 75 mg/L (30ml uvetilmicosin /100L) for 3 days.
Withdrawal period:
Poultry:7 days.
Warnings:
- Wear overalls and gloves when handling the product.
- Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product.
- In case of accidental spillage onto the skin or eyes rinse the affected area with clean running water.
Note:Not for use in chickens producing eggs for human consumption.
