Amoxycillin is a semisynthetic penicillin with a broad spectrum antibacterial effect against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It has a high margin of safety and after oral administration it is well absorbed and well distributed in body fluids.
Colistin is poorly absorbed from GI tract (local acting antibiotic) and has bactericidal activity against gram-negative bacteria.
Indications:
Treatment of infectious diseases in all classes of animals caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, such as Salmonella, E. Coli, Staphylococci. Streptococci, Proteus spp., Pasteurella spp., and Clostridium pp.
Dosage and administration:
Poultry : 50 gm / 200 liters of drinking water for 3 - 5 days.
Large animals: 0.5 gm / 10 kg of body weight for 3-5 days.
or 50 gm / 100 kg of final feed.
Withdrawal period:
Do not slaughter animals for human consumption before 5 days from the last treatment.
