Uvemec plus is a sterile injectable solution containing 1% ivermectin and 10% clorulon. It kills flukes,worms and external parasites in one convenient injection.
Ivermectin is derived from the avermectins, a family of potent broad spectrum antiparasitic agents which are isolated from fermentation of streptomyces avermitilis.
It is very potent nematocide and ectoparasiticide by oral and parenteral routes, but has no activity against flukes. Ivermectin has an acceptable safety margin, the dose required is very small and its activity persists for long after dosing.
Colrsulon is an effective treatment for liver fluke. Flukes are killed by clorsulon by inhibiting the enzymes in glycolytic pathway, which is their primary source of energy.

Uvemec _ Plus injection is indicated for effective treatment and control of the following parasites in cattle and sheep gastrointestinal round worms, lung worms, liver flukes, skin worms, eye worms, cattle grubs, mange mites, sucking lice, screw worm fly, sand tampans, and ticks nasal bots.
