Ivermectin 800 mg
Ivermectin is derived from the avermectins, a family of potent broad spectrum antiparasitic agents which are isolated from fermentation of streptomyces avermitilis.
It is very potent nematocide and ectoparasiticide by oral and parenteral routes, but has no activity against flukes. Ivermectin has an acceptable safety margin, the dose required is very small and its activity persists for long after dosing.
Cattle: Uvemec provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites: gastrointestinal roundworms, Iungworms, skinworms, eye worms, cattle grubs, mange mites, sucking Lice, screwworm fly.
Sheep and goat: Uvemec provides effective treatment and control of the following parasites: gastrointestinal roundworms, Iungworms, nasal bot, mange mites. A single oral dose will markedly reduce the numbers of P.ovis and frequently lead to resolution of clinical signs of scab. Under certain circumstance, two oral doses 7 days apart may be required to eliminate all scab mites.
Orally at a dose of 2.5 ml per 10 kg live weight, this provides dose level of 200 µg Ivermectin per kilogram live weight.
SAFETY:
UVEMEC has a wide margin of safety at the recommended dose level at all ages and at any stage of pregnancy.
Meat and milk: 14 days.
