Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic which is suitable for treatment of gram-positive infections, it is also has good activity against mycoplasma spp.
Erythromycin is absorbed rapidly when administered orally and diffuse into most tissues and fluids.
Indications:
Treatment and prevention of chronic respiratory disease complex (CRD-Complex), infectious sinusitis and synovitis caused by Mycoplasma spp, infectious coryza, due to Haemophilus, as well as, respiratory syndroms resulting from stress conditions, as vaccination debeaking ... etc.
Dosage and administration:
Treatment : 100 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Prevention: 100 gm / 200 liters of drinking water for 4 -5 days.
Withdrawal period:
Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption for a period of at least 5 days after the last treatment.
