Feed Premix
Composition:
Each 1 gm contains:
Chlortetracycline (as HCL) 200 mg

Indications:
Chicken (breeders and broilers), Turkeys, Duck:
Uvechlortetra 200 is used for treatment and control of a wide variety of bacterial infections sensitive to chlortetracycline including: Colisepticaemia, Duck septicaemia,, Omphalitis, Fowl cholera, Enteritis ( E.coli, Clostridium spp., Salmonella Spp.) infectious Coryza ( Haemophilus paragallinarum) and chronic respiratory disease ( Mycoplasma gallisepticum).
Uvechlortetra 200 is also useful in the treatment and control of infection secondary to viral, coccidian (Eimeria spp.) or mycoplasma disease, at times of stress and when non-specific early mortality is a problem.
Maximum period of treatment in broilers is 14 days.
Field trials have shown that chlortetracycline is effective in the treatment of secondary E.coli infection associated with Turkey Rhinotracheitis (TRT).
Cattle, Calves, Lambs and Kids:
treatment and control of respiratory and enteric infections and those giving rise to septicemia, caused by chlortetracycline-sensitive organisms including those caused by Salmonella and Pasteurella species.
Uvechlortetra 200 is also useful in the treatment and control of infections secondary to viral or mycoplasma disease.
Dosage and administration:
For oral administration mixing into feed. It should be mixed with 20-25 kg of feed before incorporation in the final mix.
These are average dose suitable for routine use. In the event of severe disease challenge, level can be safely increased to give up to 600 mg chlortetracycline activity per kg of feed.
Treatment should be continued for a period of 5-7 days or longer, as directed by a veterinary surgeon.

Contraindication, warning:
Salmonella shedding in the treated animals will continue where the organisms are resistant.
Withdrawal period:
Animal should not be slaughtered human consumption either during treatment or for the following days after treatment ends:
Broilers: 1-5 days.Rest of poultry: 1 day.
Rest of species: 5 days.
Do not use or mix with milk or dairy products.
Do not use in pregnant animals, breeding animals or laying hens.
Operator warnings:
Adequate measures must be taken not to create dust when the product is incorporated into feedstuffs.
The product should be handled in an mechanically ventilated area.
Use a dust mask and wear protective gloves and approved safety glasses.
Wash exposed skin after use.
Do not smoke, eat or drink during use.
Storage:
Store at temp. below 30°C in a cool dry place protected from light, in the sealed container.
