Tylosin is an antibiotic substance with a macrolide structure isolated from a strain of Streptomyces fradiae. It is high active against gram positive bacteria and mycoplasma.
Acute, subacute and chronic toxicity studies have shown that tylosin has wide margin of safety in all species tested.
Indications:
Tylosin-100 is particulary effective in the treatment of CRD (Chronic respiratory disease) in chikens, or prevention of CRD at the time of vaccination or other stress. In turkeys, Tylosin-100 is an aid in the treatment of infectious si-nusitis (IS) and in prevention of the respiratory form of (IS).
Dosage and administration:
Tylosin-100 is adminis-tered with the drinking water to chickens & Turkeys at the dose rate of 0.5 gm per 1 liter for 3-5 days.
Withdrawal period:
- Chickens : 1 day. - Turkeys : 5 days.
Precautions:
Tylosin-100 shoud not be used in poultry producing eggs for human consumption.
Storage:
Protected from light, at a temp. not exceed 30oC in a dry place .
