Tylosin is an antibiotic substance with a macrolide structure isolated from a strain of Streptomyces fradiae. It is high active against gram positive bacteria and mycoplasma.
Acute, subacute and chronic toxicity studies have shown that tylosin has wide margin of safety in all species tested.
Indications:
Treatment of pneumoenteritis, enteritis, metritis , mycoplasma, cystitis, post operative wound infections ,and other infection caused mainly by mycoplasma and gram positive bacteria.
Dosage and administration:
By intramuscular route only (4-10 mg per kg body weight) Cattle : 2.0-5.0 ml/100 Kg B.W Calf : 1.5-3.0 ml/50 Kg B.W Sheep and Goat : 1.0ml/20 Kg B.W
