Gentamicin is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic belong to the aminoglycoside group. It is active against many gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria such as staphylococci, proteus spp. E.coli, salmonella,klebsiella and pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Treatment of urinary, respiratory and digestive tract infection caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to its action as: E. Coli, Klebsilla and Salmonella.

It is very useful in the treatment and control of gastro-intestinal infections in domestics animals.

-Gentamicin 10% is administered by I.M or slow I.V

-General Dose:  (4.5 mg/Kg B.W) = 1 ml / 25 kg B.W.

Cattle, Horses : 15 – 20 ml

Calf, Foal :         2 – 4 ml

Sheep, Goat :     1 – 3 ml

Dogs, Cats :      0.3 – 1 ml

Meat : 20 days

Milk : 7 days
