Closantel is a salicylanilide derivative antiparasitic agent. Most salicylanilides are bound strongly to plasma and all these compounds effect the phosphorylase link in energy metabolism, and may also inhibit furmaratereductase.
Salicylanilides achieved continuous success in the quest for safe and effective flukicides.

Closantel 5% is indicated for the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of parasites:
Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantic, paramphistomum spp., strongyloides papillosus, haemonchus, contortus, haemonchus placei, bunostomum, oesophagostomum radiatum, oestrus ovis, hypoderma bovis, hypoderma lineatum.

Closantel 5% is administered by subcutaneous injection.
Cattle: 1 ml/20 kg of body weight against fasciola spp, haemonchus spp, bunostomum spp and oesophagostomum spp.
1 ml/10 kg of body weight against hypoderma spp.
Sheep: 1 ml/10 kg of the body weight against fasciola spp., paramphistomum spp., strongyloides spp.,
1 ml/20 kg of the body weight against haemonchus spp., oesophagostomum spp., and oestrus ovis.
Or as directed by veterinian.
